One of our boys, had unbeknownst to his teacher, taken a dead Bull snake into class in a plastic container.
He had it in his desk for a few days, until yesterday one of the other boys 'dared' him to lift the lid. According to the teacher the stink emanating from that opened box was indescribably bad, unsurprisingly!
She didn't waste anytime in ordering him and his snake out to the nearest external trash can - with a flea in his ear. Boys!
Never a dull day I tell ya!
Absolutely not dull at all!
ReplyDeleteGreetings from London.
Children .. never ever a dull moment.

Wow, I can't even imagine the smell. That's pretty gross.
ReplyDeleteand here I thought I was the only person who used the word "unbeknownst!" :)
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh. I can literally conjur up that smell...once in London a friend's snake escaped from his tank and unfortunately got caught in one of her washing machine pipes. The smell as you walked into her flat is one I'll never forget.... nor did her neighbours!
ReplyDeleteOh god that's gross and there I was wanting two boys....might have to rethink this!!!
ReplyDeleteSo you are finally fully acclimatised to your new life in the USA, eh? Trashcan? It's a dustbin!

Stevyn, I actually thought dustbin, but went with what the teacher said ;-)
ReplyDeleteBoys will be boys! Haha!!
ReplyDeleteOh my God! At least it was dead. If that thing had slithered out in MY classroom you would have heard me scream all the way to your place! That is...as I was taking off down the road with heart palpitations!
