It's official...
I am UTTERLY knackered thanks to my thyroid! It is now officially sliding me into the hypo' range and oh boy can I ever tell. I think I could sleep for 24 hours and still be knackered! So if my posts seem a little weary or below par, bare with me please until the new replacement meds kick in, I start them tomorrow. It's been a wierd few days, with some very funny feeling spells and it's about all I can do to get through my working day right now.For those of you with thyroid issues, I know you know exactly how I feel. When Brit' Gal goes to bed at 9pm, then something just ain't right with the world! For those of you who have wondered why I'm not on Spring Break this week, well our school has a cunning plan (for some reason I'm very Blackadder today - Brit's will get this!). We just take Thursday and Friday this week, but then we get all the Fridays except one off in April, so a 4 day week which we all much prefer. And now I' m off to try and cook a curry, through the serious brain fog and sleepiness - god help the Hubster!
Wow! What an innovative idea at your school[4 day weeks]. I hope that you are feeling better and your new meds kick in soon.
ReplyDeleteOooh, be all the Blackadder you want. A much better character than Mr. Bean. Meanwhile, girl I feel your pain. Hang in. Plus it will take a long while to get the dosage right. cheers to you
ReplyDeleteSarah, sorry for the annoying hypo issues. I've dealt with it for 20 years. I'm hoping you can get the dose tweaked and your thyroid evened out very soon. Enjoy the four day weeks - great idea!
ReplyDeleteOh, the brain fog is the worst. Before I found out I was hypo, I thought I had hardening of the arteries because I couldn't keep a thought in my head. Synthroid is a gift from the gods.
ReplyDeleteTake care, Shuggar.
jan <----LOVES Mr. Bean
I really like the 4 day work week idea. Feel better!
ReplyDeleteI'm quite familiar with "I've got a cunning plan" and I appreciate your use of it very much! I'm sorry to learn of your problems, and I hope that you see a quick turnabout.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry about your thyroid. But I do like the Fridays off plan...I think...
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, I've got a friend who has your problem--and belive me I understand what you are going through. Hope the new meds work.
ReplyDeleteI love that idea of taking Fridays off in April. The four-day week will be nice or you teachers--but I'm not sure the parents will like it. They'll just have to take several short vacations instead of one long one. Interesting!
Hugs,
Betsy
I'm hypo and know exactly what you mean! Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteHope you starting feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteSorry you're feeling exhaustapated. I hope you'll bounce back soon - them 4 day weeks will help for sure!
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon, Sukie!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteOne summer at work instead of taking two weeks off (Boss insisted everyone had to take a 2 week vacation, I had nowhere to go) I took off 10 Fridays in a row.
A 4 day week woud be a dream for me. Mmmmmmmmmmm. Unfortunately I work for Ebenezer Scrooge.
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better soon. Thyroid problems are a real pain. It's amazing how many people have some type of thyroid problem. Mine's like yours hypo and for me it's the weight issue that affects me most.
ReplyDeleteI like your plan Baldrick!
