My World

Crystal Beach Park in Woodward, is a favourite spot throughout the year for picnics, cookouts, fishing, walking, tennis, golf or visiting the ducks. Brand new playground equipment for all ages is available, along with plenty of outdoor cooking areas and now they are building a new water park for fun in the summer heat.

On Sunday the Hubster and I decided to take advantage of the fabulous weather and have a picnic there ourselves. We sat at the side of the beautiful lake in about 78 degree sunshine and just admired the view, including those infamous Seagulls!

Crystal Beach is the site of some big local events every year, including the Elks Rodeo for over 70 years and Crystal Christmas, when they light the whole park with Christmas lights. It is a great leisure amenity for the whole town and enjoyed by all of us locally.

  17. Nice spot - my favourite kind to laze in, especially if it is as silent as it looks - I won't mind the seagulls at all though!

  19. It looks like a lovely location for a picnic. We too have had weather in the 70's and 80's the past few days, despite the snow last weekend. Severe thunderstorms were forecast today - but didn't happen. Maybe tomorrow. :-)

  21. We all love picnics and this place looks fantastic for a picnic. Your photos are amazing.
The only thing that baklava and galaktoboureko have the same is the pastry. The baklava has peanuts inside but the galaktoboureko has creme with semolina, eggs, milk, sugar and butter.
