My World

The Sheriff gets a really cool one!

We have one with a special tag plate

They come in every colour

The Fire Chief gets a REALLY big one

Row after row in the parking lots!

Pick-ups are an everyday part of My Okieland World and why is this strange to me, because you very rarely see one in England!

To join in the fun go to My World Tuesday

  1. I guess they have a lot of stuff to haul around out there? Trailers and things?

P.S. I didn't ignore your latest geocaching post; the pics wouldn't load for me! :(

  3. Pick-ups are VERY popular here in TN also---and in Texas, it was hard to live without one.

    Neat post, Sarah.

  4. Oh I love them big trucks. So cool. Had we gone to Calgary, where trucks rule, I would have got one for sure, but a bit big for a city runabout!

  8. If its oversized, wasteful, loud, and presumptuous, its a huge hit in America. Trucks are just one item that fall into this category.

  9. Ah, you do remind me of my earlier life in Texas! Trucks and pick-ups everywhere. They're here in WA, too, but not like in the southwest! Great post! Have a good week!

  11. Great trucks. They are the best friend of an adventure man (or woman). We need one of these when we go on the mountains for a trip.

  15. Yes, my husband drives a truck. They are everywhere in Arkansas as well. He is a building contractor though - so he has an excuse. He "might" have to haul something one of these days.

  17. I had a pickup waaay back when, sold it and regretted it every.single.day for years until I bought another one a couple of years ago. I may not always have one as my only vehicle, but I'll never be without one again I can tell you!

  18. Over here, it's the Toyota landcruiser that rules, but it mostly comes in white (occasionally in black or green)!

  20. I have noticed they are becoming more popualr in the UK. My son in law drives a Ford Ranger and I have also seen a few F-150s. It's surprising given the cost of petrol back there.

  21. You don't see much of them in Chicago either!

  22. That's because gas in England is more outrageous than in the US. That's why Europe has the smart car. :-)

I received my package yesterday. I was very excited :-D

  23. Everything would either get soaked or nicked if you left it in the back of a truck in the UK. Think I've only once ever bought something that wouldn't fit into the boot of my car.

Do you fasten the kids in the back too? Plenty of good fresh air for them!

  24. Trucks, trucks, trucks! Boys and their toys! Actually, they are very functional.

  25. What is it with trucks? I just can't work it out.
