1000th Post!

Today is my 1000th post, something I would have never expected to get to so fast, but then I've always been a bit of an old windbag! For the number crunchers amongst you, my average is 2.28 posts per day. So to celebrate, I thought I'd share some of my thoughts and experiences on blogging.

  • A blog is alot cheaper than Counselling!

  • Blogging is another great form of networking

  • Comment, if you want comments

  • Lifes mundane offerings, can be blogging gems

  • If it made you laugh, others probably will too

  • To meet bloggers, you need to visit blogs

  • Write with honesty about what you know

  • Keep a list constantly handy to write blog ideas down

  • Photographs make a long 'wordy' post digestable

  • The majority of bloggers are just nice, normal folk

  • Rise above the few that aren't, they're not worth it

  • Try to come up with a regular fallback feature

  • 'Followers' are very nice, but not what it's all about

  • Always acknowledge sources and give backlinks

  • Join in a group blog event like Skywatch, it's fun

  • If you wouldn't say it face to face, then save it

  • Always carry a camera, pictures can make great posts

  • Have fun, and if you're not, take a break

And now onwards with the next 1000!

  6. Yay for 1000!

I love your blog - except for the horrible pictures you posted the other day of those "s" creatures - you know, the ones that have no legs and slither on the ground!

I was scrolling down through your posts and saw that one and almost had a heart attack - I'm sure it made me pee my pants!

But I still love you Sarah! I'm so glad you started blogging.

  29. Congrats on reaching that milestone! I'm sure another 1000 won't take long. Love your blog. It is always a pleasure when I can find time to pop over and see what you've been doing, seeing, saying, etc.

I agree about your fallback feature (especially loved your purse one). In case, it sounded like I have a negative opinion of those, my hesitation is merely with those ones where everyone copies the link and then leaves a long list of people/bloggers who participated. Those seem like such a lot of work. Then again, maybe I'll try jumping on that bandwagon once my little guys are in school full-time and I find more time for blogging.
