Just popping my head in the door
First of all "THANK YOU" for all your lovely supportive comments about me taking a sabbatical, I was very touched.I am still on sabbatical but wanted to let you know I'm doing alot better healthwise. I have rested probably more than necessary, enjoyed the freedom of no work and a respite from blogging. In fact I may do this every June to recharge my writing batteries! My brother is still the same, but after a battery of tests it seems our worst fears are unfounded. But he still does not have an answer and it is worrying, so he is seeing a Specialist on Saturday in the hope he can finally supply one. Basically for no reason that can be found, he has lost a significant amount of his vision in one eye which has been very blurred for the past 3 weeks. So please continue to keep him in your prayers for me.I am going to stay on my blog sabbatical until the first week of July, as we are off on vacation shortly. But then I'll be back with a weeks worth of Chicago posts and pictures, in the meantime I may drop the odd post if I feel so motivated! Thanks again for your continued support, "I'll be back" full-time by Independence Day!
Semi good news about your bro then, and will keep hoping the best for him as his tests go along. Enjoy your break! And Chi-town!
ReplyDeleteEcho the sentiments about your brother. Thinking positive things for him. Happy too, that you're resting and recharging.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Chicago trip, it's a great town and lots to do. Will keep good thoughts for you and your brother!
ReplyDeleteAt least you know he's in good hands. As much as the brits slag it, you honestly can't beat the NHS. I'd donate a kidney to have use of it again!!!
ReplyDeleteBut to cheer you up, pop over and check out my post today. I know you will absolutely love it xx
I sooo love Chicago so looking forward to that.

ReplyDeleteWhen exactly are you going to be in Chicago? I'm just going to be in the city for a single night, then off to a cottage in Michigan.
ReplyDeleteI thank Daryl for sending me over here. This looks like a lively blog and I want to visit again.
I'm sorry your brother is having the blurred vision. Eye problems are scary. I know because I've had them. Sending him healing energy...
So wonderful to see you post, Sarah, and glad to hear you are feeling better. I'm very happy to hear that it appears there is nothing serious wrong with your brother - I can imagine what a huge relief that is to all of you! But I will keep him in my prayers and hope they figure out why he is having trouble with his eyesight. That would certainly be very troubling.
ReplyDeleteHugs~ Susan
