Situated on a beautiful Oklahoma Centennial Farmstead a few miles from us and owned by good friends This approximately 90yr old barn, reflects the owners love of Square Dancing with it's eyecatching signage Downstairs it still fulfills some of it's original functions The stairs are extremely steep and shallow, it's quite a climb The owners have the history displayed for visitors First sight of the upstairs is impressive for a first time visitor This floor has seen alot of action, but is still in wonderful condition and great for square dancing A glance upwards is just as impressive, with the beautifully and skilfully constructed roof on display Everywhere you look, you are in awe of the construction, preservation and beauty The owners sense of humour is an integral part of their barn They also acknowledge our local history with knick-knacks like this barbed wire display case Some visitors love it so much they stay too long! And here we are enjoying their annual square dance

What a fun time that must have been. That old barn looked fantastic.
Great shots, Sarah! And an impressive barn. I worked hay in barns like that when I was a teenager, but none had a polished floor for dancing.
What a great barn for a dance. The upper floor looks like a boat's ribs. Nice captures.
What a marvellous barn - full of laughter, dance .. and skeletons...
What a fabulous barn! Looks like you had a great time.
Sunny :)
Love the owner's sign! Great pictures of a wonderful building.
The barn is as beautiful as a cathedreal. What wonderful construction and what a pleasure to dance in.
What a wonderful place .. I love that they keep their prize Corvette out there on the 'lawn'
You and the Hubster look cool!
What a lovely barn!
Gorgeous photos, Sarah. Now, I want to square dance, too.
What wonderful pictures of the barn! I love to look at the construction of long ago-that ceiling is amazing! That owner does have a great sense of humor with some of the things in the barn. Looks like you and your Hubster had fun!
How very cool! I wish that my urban man loved to squaredance. Or any dance. You are so lucky!!!!!!!!! jan
You see, I know I've watched too many movies when I look at those photos and think 'Friday the 13th !!'.
I have a question. Why are the barns nearly always red. It's also enourmous.
I have no idea why red, but it seems to be the tradition back when they were built. A 'Red Barn' is always this color, shape and design and usually old!
where is this barn located? very beautiful!! do they host events?
Beautiful Barn! Where is it located at? Do they host events in the barn?
