My World - great memories

The Hancock Tower, so good we went up twice!

The view along the beach of Lake Michigan

Looking towards Navy Pier on a hazy day

The same view during the Wednesday night fireworks

Looking to the Willis Tower, we preferred the Hancock

At night, the bright lights of the windy city are stunning

This was My World in June last year, during our wonderful summer vacation to Chicago, a city we absolutely loved.

To see some great sights around the globe or join in the fun, go to My World Tuesday

  6. Great shots of the city and the tower. Was Chicago as windy as people say it is?

  7. Stine, an Okie probably isn't the best opinion to get on how windy somewhere is lol! But yes it seemed to be on the shorefront.

You have very pretty blue eyes! This is the first time I've seen this profile photo.

  11. Chicago was actually nicknamed the WIndy City because of all the hot air the politicians spouted. Some things never change. And yes, it does get windy by the Lake!
Great to meet you and hubster last year Sarah. The Queenager still refers the event - I will never be allowed to forget that a "stanger I met on the Internet was coming to the house" and we were going out for dinner!

  17. My Teenager just went to Chicago for auditions and he LOVED it. He said he liked it even better than NYC which he totally loves so that's saying a lot. Your photos are beautiful!

  29. Great pictures of Chicago, Sarah... I have been there a few times, when I was working on my Master's Degree at Garrett Evangelical Seminary in Evanston. I remember going downtown at least once--and we also went to a Cubs baseball game.

    Hugs,

  30. What a coincidence: I literally just got back from a trip to Chicago! It's a wonderful town, isn't it?

I couldn't bring myself to go up either the Hancock or Sears Tower, though: I'm not the greatest fan of heights! :)
