What a really wonderful wedding it was!
The Bride looked absolutely beautiful, the dress is my favourite royal wedding dress to date, so elegant, simple and yet stunning. I also thought her sister's dress was gorgeous and so flattering.
Catherine already has such a regal bearing about her and seems so composed, she will make a William a wonderful wife.
They look so happy, the service was beautiful and the British are out in force to support them, it's a proud day to be a Brit. Oh and how amazing was the sight of the carriage and lifeguards, just makes me proud of my heritage.
Off to watch the balcony kiss and then back to bed for a few hours!
What did you think?
It was just the most lovely wedding, the trees in Westminister were a brilliant idea so understated and so perfect. I loved Kate's dress but I would kill for Pippa's (as well as her figure!)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you, along with a guestimated, 2 billion others got to watch the wedding. I haven't seen any video yet but the news reports indicate that it went very well.
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely, Sarah. And what a gorgeous gown! Kate (or should I say Catherine?) is a stunning bride. I watched the BBC programming - loved the 'people in the crowd' interviews :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, "Just wonderful!" sums the day up perfectly.
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of the family, the most I can say is that at least the weather cooperated! Good luck to them.
ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous! So proud today :0)

I thought it was fantastic as well! She was stunning! I shed a little tear when the old WWII planes went over and the Royals were out on the balcony...And I LOVED the trees in the church!!!
ReplyDeleteDidn't they look splendid, Kate's dress was just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThey both looked so in love, I cried throughout the service, especially when they played 'Jerusalem' ( And did those feet in ancient times)
Enjoy this special day !

Girl! I figured if you didn't surface for the Royal Wedding, then you might be out of blog world for good!
ReplyDeleteIt was fantastic. As one person in the crowd said, it was a great day to celebrate being British. I need to go back and watch the very beginning ... I picked it up about 4:45 in time for C/C to leave Clarence House, so didn't see what happened before.
The balcony kiss? Loved it ... especially kiss #2, so much more spontaneous.
Catherine (Kate) has more regal bearing than most of them put together! A class act, and the two of them together ... le sigh.
I loved every minute of it and I'm watching the same coverage on another channel now... I just can't leave the tv!!
ReplyDeleteVictoria xx
Loved it too. Jerusalem made me shed a tear!!
ReplyDeleteIt was enough to make any Brit proud.
ReplyDeleteIt was quite beautiful. I have to admit I was up at 4 to go to a friends house for coffee, coffeecake and watch the event!
ReplyDeletemy daughters 5 years old, we started it at around 7am, when we were ready to go to work, we drove as fast as we could to get to work to catch the kiss on the balcony, I think it's a sweet tradition that his parents started, and yes it was a proud day to be a Brit!!!
