He was walking along and found a HUGE pile of rattlesnakes. From the photo it looks like there are about 10 - 15 curled around each other. A short distance away there are another 4 or 5 curled up. Gives me the chills just thinking about it.

Good thing you don't live any further west.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2176805307442675187.post-21563942321761306032010-05-02T11:08:16.787-05:002010-05-02T11:08:16.787-05:00Ian we're overrun with snakes here, harmless a...Ian we're overrun with snakes here, harmless and otherwise. I ended up on top of the table screaming bloody murder holding my silly dog (who thought the world was ending by the way I was screaming). Hubby had to get up and throw it out the back door. He was not happy about being woke up that early. We were playing hide 'n seek and I decided to hide in a window well beside the house. I jumped in and squatted down. When I stood to get out, I saw that the bottom of the window well was covered with squirming baby snakes.I ran screaming into the house, tearing off my clothes and slapping myself to knock off any snakes that may have crawled onto me. Aaaaaargh.

I've been determined not to pass on my own phobia to my kids, so I've been pleased that they've all been fine when they've been introduced to snakes (it seems to be something that happens these days in pre-school - you get someone to come in with exotic animals for the kids to touch). But sadly, my daughter and a friend unearthed a snake in the playground a few weeks ago, and the shock of it has definitely made her scared of them now. It's a shame.Iota https://www.blogger.com/profile/08507184283437057648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2176805307442675187.post-4985498340001660012010-04-25T22:35:39.413-05:002010-04-25T22:35:39.413-05:00Grrrhahahhaha!
