The rest of the time I am being ironic or commenting with my tongue firmly in cheek ;-)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09542425639950850366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2176805307442675187.post-40451453779205492482008-09-04T18:53:00.000-05:002008-09-04T18:53:00.000-05:00I was just thinking how little I knew about you, a...I was just thinking how little I knew about you, and was wondering if you were going to annoy me enough with your politics that I'd have to delete your blog from my RSS feed, and then I discovered you had your tongue in your cheek! I like her. She epitomizes for me what I think every year out here where I work --- "I could do a better job than some of these bozos" - and she got up, ran for office, and did exactly that.

Now as to her speech, I didn't like that she repeated her previous speech in parts. I agree that she was short of solutions. But dang, she can stick the knife in and give it a turn. Me-ow. But she also had those old boys in the audience nodding in approval, which was pretty amazing to see. She brings McCain up a notch (for me) and Biden brings Obama down a notch (for me). He strikes me as being very smarmy and calculating and I don't think it was a good choice for Obama.

Gonna be interesting for the next few months.Pamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15357397551761295138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2176805307442675187.post-68474950077437652422008-09-04T10:01:00.000-05:002008-09-04T10:01:00.000-05:00Oh and I keep wondering why in this daily recital ...Oh and I keep wondering why in this daily recital of her foreign policy creds 'they' dont include Canada as well as Russia...

Just wondering ...

:-DarylDarylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08241795455748298624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2176805307442675187.post-61132915487221331802008-09-04T10:00:00.000-05:002008-09-04T10:00:00.000-05:00I was going to express my opinion and then I read ...I was going to express my opinion and then I read Janet's comment and I have to say she said it perfectly for me...

But those boots are very chic!

And then I read your comment .. so now I am laughing ...

:-DarylDarylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08241795455748298624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2176805307442675187.post-28100065233876099652008-09-04T08:10:00.000-05:002008-09-04T08:10:00.000-05:00Janet - I think you missed that tongue I have firm...Janet - I think you missed that tongue I have firmly stuck in my cheek ;-)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09542425639950850366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2176805307442675187.post-18026160718717093722008-09-04T07:16:00.000-05:002008-09-04T07:16:00.000-05:00Ummmmm...I don't share your view.I'm absolutely de...Ummmmm...I don't share your view.

I'm absolutely delighted that a woman has the chance to run as VP. (Personally, I think that a McCain/Rice ticket would be hard to beat.) But I don't think that being the novice governor of the US state that borders Russia (see Lord Celery today) gives her credentials to be VP of the entire country at this stage in her career.

If I was a completely neutral voter, I'm afraid I'd have to cast my vote for the Democrats. Who do I want to be a "heartbeat away from the presidency"? Sarah Palin? Joe Biden? That's an easy choice. I'll take Biden every single time.

And I DO get to vote.

JanetJanethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16494516976868488211noreply@blogger.com
