This is now me!
Peer at the tree branch closely (double click to enlarge) and you have a perfect image of me from now until the 4th week of July.I am now officially 'en vacance' or holiday for a few weeks and 'Mr Squirrel' there is giving a perfect impression of my intentions. Basically keep a low profile, kick back alot and do exactly what I want to do, which may in fact be bugger all!Along the way I may also use the time to stick to my healthy eating I've started, shed a few pounds, walk, practice my Tai Chi and meditation for relaxation, catch-up with local friends and blog friends I have neglected, take many photos and write alot. We will also squeeze in our trip to Chicago which we are now getting excited about. So that's my plan for the long summer, now I know why I was so happy to get a job working for a school!See you much later after my lie-in today, please don't hate me!
I'm so envious. Oh sorry, just realised, I'm retired and am like Mr Squirrel all year long :-)
ReplyDeleteSeriously though - enjoy your rest, I'm sure its well earned and have a good time in Chicago.
Nah, we love ya :)
ReplyDeleteKeep squirreling away!
ReplyDeleteRelax, you have earned the rest.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your rest...it's a given that we all need a break...Ms. Squirrel seems perfectly content and I hope that's how you spend your holiday!
ReplyDeleteSandi
Aaaahh I knew there was a reason I wanted to be a teacher :)
ReplyDeleteSummer's off !
Enjoy your break bloggy friend ;)
You need all your rest so you can take Chicago by storm! Cant wait to see your pix of my favorite Midwestern city!
ReplyDeleteSarah, have fun. Love the squirrel. They lounge around in my trees too eyeing the birdfeeders.
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't hate you but I am envious. I swear I was shot out of a canon this morning! Last full day of school, in-laws leaving (and up before 5am), cousin arriving from out of town with hubby and baby, me taking kids to Colorado on Saturday. Aagghh.
ReplyDeleteSee you in Chicago!
Plus you're kind of nutty like the squirrel, LOL! No offense. I know how much I like my winters off. Enjoy your vacation. I was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs.
ReplyDeleteYou go ahead and do just asyou please - you deserve this break!
ReplyDeleteYou deserve it, girl. That's also partly why I chose teaching...summers off!
ReplyDeleteRest up well for your Chicago vacation.
Aww thank you all, I woke at 9:30 and then ooops I woke again at 10:20 and finally got up LOL! I won't do that everyday, but it was lovely today.
ReplyDeleteDaryl - I can't wait to take them!
Jill - LOL that's EXACTLY what he/she was doing!
EPM - OMG what a day you're having, can't wait to meet up.
Gaelyn - no offense taken, I would describe myself as a bit nuts too!
Enjoy every minute, you certainly deserve a vaca!
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm Mary stopping by from SITS. Cute picture of a squirrel, and I would love to be able to keep a low profile as well.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great plan for the summer!
Please stop by and say hi if you get a chance!

ReplyDeleteRest, relax and most of all enjoy yourself. :)
ReplyDeleteI just saw a photo of a squirrel doing a similar posture on Lin's blog in Letters From Lin. Seems very relaxed.
