Saturday was a day trip to Enid for us to do a touch of shopping.
You may remember awhile ago I was bemoaning the fact I was still cowboy boot poor compared to the Hubster, see
HERE. Well I'm catching him after purchasing my third pair, these gorgeous Ariat shorter ones in tan & teal, they're soft as butter and so pretty.
On our way home through the Cheyenne Valley, we spotted this beautiful field of Sunflowers and I just had to stop for piccies, with the Hubster on snake watch of course.
They were regimented in rows all facing the sun, like a beautiful surreal army battalion, as far as the eye could see.
Just so gorgeous to behold, nodding in the light breeze and sunshine, a photographers dream.
Double click piccies to get the lovely full effect
To join in the fun go to My World Tuesday
Gorgeous sunflower shots! Hey, and I like the boots, too! Looks pretty cool in your world today!

Sylvia
There is everything as far as the eye can see. Sunflowers are such a beautiful things to see.
ReplyDeleteThe sunflowers are beautiful! I loved coming across the big fields of sunflowers. We have a farmer near me in Essex who plants several rows of sunflowers near the road and his kids sit and sell them which is really cool, but its not the same as a vast expanse stretching out in front of you!
ReplyDeleteBoots v nice too!
I like those boots. Nice color and no pointy toes.
ReplyDeleteThe sunflower field was a spectacular find. It does look like a lined up army, but of the best sort.
Great captures.
I do love sunflowers! Great pics.
ReplyDeleteLove those boots, and soft as butter wow, that's absolutely my kind.
ReplyDeleteWonderful field of sunflowers, no wonder you had to stop!
Gorgeous sunflowers. Make me think of South of France. As for the boots.. that's on the other halve's list of things to get. The genuine article.

ReplyDeletebeautiful field of sunflowers.
have a wonderful week.
like your new boots.
I find my zoom came in very handy whilst in VA and wanting to get closer but terrified of what might be lurking in the tall grass .. not just snakes but chiggers .. IMO a far worse thing to encounter ..
ReplyDeleteI don't know which I love more -- those boots or the sunflowers. Something magical about both ;)
ReplyDeleteI love sunflowers!! Your photography is outstanding.
ReplyDeleteThe boots are fantastic, too.
Some sharp looking boots !
ReplyDeleteSunflowers are spectacular, they are one of my favorite summer flowers.
Thanks for sharing.
Really love the boots. The first sunflower picture is just awesome, paintable really. Are these grown for a crop or just happen. Beautiful place to stumble upon.
ReplyDeleteAGH! I WANT THOSE BOOTS! So flippin' cuh-yewt!
ReplyDeleteSunflowers are quickly becoming my favorite wildflower. My veggie garden is full of them and I love the finches that are resting on them and scarfin'. The wind kicks up and it's like they are on a carnival ride.
I love your boots, and the sunflower shots! Such beauty!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliments and Jill, yes they're a crop they grow.
ReplyDeleteAriat is my favorite boot brand- they are so comfortable!!! I have 3 Ariat's alone... almost every year when I'm in Oklahoma for Christmas I pick up a pair. Last year I went for a pair of crocodile boots that are to die for!!! I even wore them recently when meeting with Travel+Leisuire editors and they said I had the perfect Euro-Okie thing with the Chanel shades and Croco boots from Cowtown!! I LOVE YOUR NEW BOOTS and Glad to hear you're catching up with the Hubster
