Oooh, a bit like the A69 to the Lake District when I'm in England. Or you could try dropping the Little Guy off at Looking Glass Theatre Camp (oh yes) on Michigan Avenue when they have the lower half cordoned off to film Transformers 97 or something. Oh joy!
WE actually had good luck with the M25 this trip. Amazing, I know. But I think those speed cameras are doing their job and there are a lot less accidents. Of course, one time we were on it was when England was playing Germany in World Cup, so you could have parked your car in the middle lane and had a Chinese fire drill if you wanted! Hardly a soul on the road at that hour!
Been there. This weekend on the way to the cabin we hit one of those moving homes trucks. It was fine until it came to a bridge that was not wide enough. Moved to the middle of the road a bit before it and it was the slow moving kind of traffic. Thankfully it was not the rush hour kind and was over pretty quick.
Ooh, how I remember those dreaded lines of traffic on the M-6, it's the reason I used the train to travel back and forth to work when I was in the UK. I get a bit nervous behind those hay wagons, those hay bales are huge, and always extend over the sides of the trailers. Hope all is well, you've ben missed !

ReplyDeleteCouldn't you go AROUND that truck? Looks like a lot of green space along both sides of the road. But what do I know? LOL.
ReplyDeleteGiGi, what you can't tell from the picture is that the bar ditches (side of the road) are about 3 foot deep, not flat.
ReplyDeleteYes, I will take bales of hay to be stuck behind than gas fumes of multi-gazillion cars on the highway. Hay smells better than gas...
