It's off to work I go.....

Today I am officially back in full-employment for the first time since leaving the UK in 2005.

When I left alot of my friends predicted I wouldn't stay 'retired' for long and I think I did pretty good to make it to almost 3 years! So I am excited, really looking forward to getting 'stuck in' and here is my work 'kit' already to go.

Here is my Brit' essentials required for work - tea, an electric kettle and a cute mug!

Enjoy your first day!

And I love your tea survival kit... bringing a little international culture to the very heart of the American heartland!

Congrats on the job and good luck!!!
I'm a big fan of early retirement-1.5 years now-but it sounds like it will be a great place to work!

I need an electric tea kettle. And, that is so what a Brit gal would pack for the first day of work...and an Anglophile, too.

Isn't it funny how retirement (when you literally have not a lot that needs doing) isn't all that it's cracked up to be? Mind you, my two boys are currently beating the crap out of each other downstairs, so a month or two of total retirement sounds fine right now!

Very nice work place package. I have looked at electric water kettles different times in the past. What would you suggest as far as what to look for in such a kettle?
