Hi Brit Gal, found you on mmm tea and toast's comments. It is snowing like rain in Ky. You are right it is all over the country. Stop by my neck of the woods. I am working on my creations for mmm's game. QMM
That is just too cold! I don't blame the cats, although I would be under the covers. It was in the 50s early this morning, but the cold is coming our way and it will get in the 20s tonight.
I kept trying to think what 1 F was. So I thought I'd forgotten Fahrenheit as we always get our weather in Centigrade now. However I then realised we just never get as low as that. Our evening temps at the moment are about 34 F which compared to yours is positively tropical!
It's the right idea as far as I'm concerned. My cats, however, must be Siberian Tigers in their dreams because -- Sally especially -- they are loving it outside in this cold. Crazy, I know!
Yep, they know a good thing when they see one....eat, sleep, eat get a scritchy scratch behind the ears. We lived in Colorado, I can relate to cold....brrr..
Here in the SE part of Okie land we didn't dip down THAT cold, just cold enough for me to rewrite my Wish List for Santa - I want fur lined anything from undergarments to outer - head to toe! Stay warm!

Oh I remember that kinda cold from last winter in Toronto. Hmmm, will I miss it this year? Actually, no.
I'm with the moggies, best place to be!
They look very comfortable.
Brrrrrrrrrrr.... keep it there ... its sunny and bright here and we're due single digit temps this weekend
Cold weather SUCKS! I'm coming back in the next life as a cat with a warm house and optional cat door. ;-) TRY, to stay warm.
Those cats are so wise.
