Skywatch Friday

'Contrasts'

I spotted this lone tree, with a great shape, washed out colour and wonderful deep blue sky setting it off, on the OK/KS border on Saturday. We were out combining geocaching and photography for the day. The Hubster got a geocache here and I got one of my fave tree pictures ever - a total result!

I have a thing for trees, I would have spent the day photographing this beauty and missed the geocache.

Beautiful photo! I have dreams of finding a perfect tree to photograph and returning in different seasons, then framing the series for my dining room wall. Too long a drive for that tree - I'll have to find one of my own :-(

What a gorgeous shot! I love the rugged bare tree against the deep blue sky.

You hit the jackpot with this image. I too have a thing with trees especially if they are on their own.

Have a great weekend.

The clouds look like they are springing from the lone tree. Trees are inspiring. Very nice capture. Lovely deep blue sky too.

Great picture. I clicked on it and studied the tree a little bit. It looks like somebody has been taking care of it, pruning and such.

Nice shot Sarah. I like the shape of the tree and its shadow.

It almost looks as if the tree is holding up the sky! - because of the way the colour of the sky is deeper above it than below.
