Tea that hits the spot!

Just like most Brit's, I am more than a bit of a tea addict!

I currently start everyday with a cup of hot Twinings Earl Grey, although only because I have gone through my stash of PG Tips Pyramid teabags until I get to Amarillo in a couple of weeks. I then follow it up with 2 cups of herbal tea during the day, enjoy iced tea with supper and often the Earl Grey squeezes in during the evening.

A friend gave me a new herbal tea to try recently (thanks Sher') and I am totally addicted to it. Unlike alot of herbal tea's that smell fabulous but often all taste pretty similar, this has a 'well developed body' (Brit' phrase) and tastes as good as it smells.

Ok enough preamble.....Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice (the one with a Tiger on the box), available from Walmart.

It's flavours include Cinnamon, Chicory, Carob, Vanilla, Ginger, Cardamom, Black Pepper, Cloves and Nutmeg. If you like slightly spicy stuff or Asian Indian food as I do, this might also be your new addiction! It is delicious hot or iced, although I tend to drink it hot as the spices in it make it a really warming tea, even for my permanently cold feet!

I took the piccie with one of the very old teacups left to me by my Grandma....each cup is a different pastel colour and I just adore them, but it's just as good in a mug!

Sarah: Now you have to come up to Boulder so you can visit Celestial Seasonings and tour the tea process. And visit the gift shop....lots and lots of teas.....

Hey Vickie, we would love to meet up but how long is it to drive from CS to Boulder?

Sarah: It's a couple of hours, so wouldn't come up just for Celestial Seasonings and Pearl Street walking mall. There is plenty to see in C Springs and surrounding area. The Air Force Academy is nice, too.

The other day in Wal-Mart, I was looking for a new tea. I almost picked up the Powerfully Plum White Tea. I had never even noticed it before. When I went to grab the box, I saw the Tiger and remembered this post. Oh My Gooddness!!!1 This Bengal Spice tea is great. It smelled really yummy when I opened the box. It smelled even better when the boiling water hit it. And the taste is so incredible! I love Ginger, Cloves, Black Pepper and Cardamom in tea. It just feels so good going down and really satisfies. This is a new favorite and will be a staple in my tea cupboard. Thanks for the tea tip. You know, you should maybe do a Tea Tip of the Week on your blog. :~) I am guessing you have a lot to share.

Hey Teresa, isn't that just amazing tea and I especially love it on a cool day. But let me tell you the first time I had it, it was iced and just as great!
