Brit' Word of the Day....

Today's BWOTD could easily have been used around here yesterday!

"My desk was in a shambles doing the home inventory and immigration application!"

'Shambles/Shambolic' = total disarray or unorganised.

An example of using shambolic would be:

"The organisation at the conference was totally shambolic"

One of my all-time favourite/favorite words. I had to give it up a long time ago as Americans would look so lost that I tool pity. I have never, ever heard an American using it.

Oh yes, I am a fan of this one - shambles! I use this lots because everything in my house always seems to be in a shambles!!!

This word was used a lot in my family - and I'm a home grown American. Maybe it's regional. I'm from the northern midwest.
