Today's BWOTD phrase is a funny one:
"My washing machine is totally up the spout"
'Up the spout' = not working
I have only ever heard this used in reference to an item, you wouldn't use it to describe someone not working at work for instance. But just about any appliance or machine you own could have this applied to it.
I have no idea where this phrase originated!
