Batten down the hatches fellow Okies!

I hope y'all are watching the weather or have got your weather radio's handy. It's looking more and more like we are about to have a severe weather outbreak. The TV stations are sending their spotters out our way now, but to be honest it looks like it may be past us by 4pm.

It's the rest of you I am more concerned about, as apparently the conditions are much more conducive than usual for large hail and tornadoes. Right now it's terribly windy here and starting to cloud over, but still 94 degrees which is not a good thing as y'all know!

As Rick Mitchell just said, start thinking now about where to go if it does kick-off like they think it's going to in western and central Okieland. Stay safe everyone.

We've had very high winds all day today, clouds are moving in now. Mick is frantically trying to get the mowing done before it starts.

According to the forecast though, it may be around midnight before we cop it. Let's hope all it brings is another sleepless
night.:-(

Take care you Okies...be safe! :)

Hope you're OK. Our roof is totaled as the result of huge hail. Car in bad shape too. Weird stuff.

It's already past us and now the whole of the rest of the state is under threat, so keep all the other Okies you see here in your thoughts please.

A friend of my Hubsters went into his work to say goodbye tonight. Hubster said "are you leaving town Jack?", he responded "no but the guy on Ch4 TV just said we could all be gone by the morning as this looks like potentially the worst night in OK history!".

Nice to know the TV channels are keeping their heads!

well it is 9:06 p.m. and it looks like it is headed our way. just one county away now. saw the wall cloud reports from ch. 4. mike is usually fairly calm during a crisis and he's a little flustered. channel 5 has moved the NBA FINALS to another channel so they can cover the storm. I bet they are getting calls out the wazoo on that one!

Wow is it January 1, 2009 already? Yay!!!

Glad that the storms weren't too terrible around here. All we had here in Edmond was some rain and wind.

LOL ;-)

Glad to hear all good in Edmund, we just got the wind here, now it just needs to clear Jan out at Grand Lake and we're all good :-)

The CH4 weatherman may need to eat some humble pie tomorrow LOL!
