Today's BWOTD is one I used to hear alot:
"I am hoping one of these days she'll twig about it"
'Twig' = Catch on / realise
A twig is also bits off a tree to us as well, but if somebody uses it in the context of a person, this is what they mean. I still use it and my colleagues at work will undoubtedly hear me say this sometime.
