Hancock

We all like Will Smith, so we thought we'd give Hancock a go, especially as it looked like a movie more suited to the big screen.

We were right about the big screen, if you want to see this, then we'd all suggest you do it in your local cinema. The special effects are 'in your face' and will lose alot on your TV, unless you happen to have a 72" jobby and surround sound!

Will is as likeable as ever in this, despite being cast as a distinctly dark, angry superhero. I don't know what it is about him, but he is just someone you can't seem to help liking whatever his character. Charlize Theron is his female co-star and she also plays her role well.

This is not a deep film in anyway, but it is entertaining and surprisingly these days, only about 90 minutes long and that certainly doesn't drag. It is also laugh out loud funny in parts and very loud.

The Hubster and I both really enjoyed it, taking it at face value as pure escapism. My mum (in her 60's) was entertained but thought it was just okay, but then she is definitely not the target audience.

So if you like Will, loud action movies and special effects you'll love it. If you're more of a rom'com'/fuzzy warm feeling movie person, you might want to give it a miss!

I do like Will Smith, and I think this is a movie hubby and my older son would enjoy as well. Not sure about the younger son...

Thanks for the review!

We love, loved this. But I am such a sucker for superhero movies, I think I like them even when they aren't any good...

I love Will Smith too.

It was great that your Mom had a good long visit with you. Enjoy your few days off before the teachers and kiddies return.

My teens love it and we all love Will smith. He is the epitomy of cool and friendly. Something very appealing about him.
