It only took a week...

for the Brit' effect to kick in on our weather.....days and days of high 90 - 100 degrees, very little rain and then my mum arrives just over a week ago.

So of course it rained most of yesterday afternoon and ALL DAY today, which is as rare as 'rocking horse poop' in this part of the country in July. I actually had to put an umbrella in my car yesterday!

So your mum's to blame, huh? I wondered why we were getting spring-like showers in the middle of traditionally bone-dry July! Another British invasion — this time the weather!

That sounds about right!

We're having soooo much rain in the UK at the moment!

UNBELIEVABLE! We are now in day 3 of what appears to be endless rain!

Ha, I swear they carry the rain with them. It wears off after a while though as you become more Okie-fied. But mum is going back soon so maybe we will have a few nice showers in a normally dry July. Has she experienced tornado weather yet?

Meanwhile, if ya'll want a tour before she goes back, let me know and I will work it out!

It's been the same in our neck of the woods. Storms all night on Tuesday. Torrential rain most of the day yesterday. Even as I type, the skies are blackening once more, and thunder is rumbling around.

Still, I hope your mum is enjoying her stay, despite the weather.

I want to thank your mum for the grand weather she brought to our state. I just posted that this is no ordinary summer.~~Dee
