I 'think' I'm ready!

Yesterday I arrived at work at 7:55am and I got back home at 7:53pm!! Any of you who work in the schools system will totally understand why this was the case, the day before school returns. When I left there were still 8 teachers on-site preparing for tomorrow!

I think I have dotted all my 'i's and crossed all my 't's. I have my receipt book and meal prices ready for the influx of parents wielding cheque (check) books in the morning and the faculty have everything they need from me, like rosters, menu's etc.

The last 20 minutes I spent tidying my office, as let's face it I am definitely going to be judged tomorrow by the parents. After all I am a foreigner, new to the job, the only Brit' for miles and in a small town. The last thing I need is word getting around town before noon (which it would), that I have an untidy office!

So I have done all I can to be prepared and now I'm off to bed at 9:20pm as I'm knackered! I will report back Friday....

As a retired teacher, that post brought back memories. May the force be with you.[The force being kindness.]

But you know Sarah, all Americans love the British...so you could have a wart on the end of your nose, ears like taxi cab doors and bald as an eagle as soon as you open your mouth and that beautiful accent flows forth, you're in like Nanny McFee!
hugs and have a great work year
