Any ideas?

Tomorrow and Friday we have Parent Teacher Conferences at school. Each one lasts 15 minutes and in the past the secretary has rung the bell to signal time to change parents.

But with our new telephone/intercom system we do not have a bell option, so I am going to have to say something every 15 minutes.

So any thoughts on what would be a polite, short but motivating thing to say, but that will also encourage a quick change?

My onery thoughts so far have included:

"Ok times up, move it on out please"

"3, 2, 1, BZZZZZZZ"

"Your chair will self-destruct if you have not vacated it in 10 seconds"

"Time's up people"

"NEXT"

"Wrap it up and move it on out please"

;-)

"Teachers it's time for your next appointment please"

Can't you have a klaxon and watch them jump every time you press it?
Here from Black Box, but have been here rooting around your blog before!

I'm sure they will absolutely love anything in that charming accent of yours! ;)

Hey, you know, with your accent you could do a great Eliza Doolittle...."move your bloomin' ass"! ;^)

Closing time, one last call for alcohol
You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here.

(Can't remember the name of that song now!)

Or, just use the authority of your British accent and I bet that the parents mind right away!

Maybe an "Alright, thanks for stopping by, but you've worn out your welcome so get out of here..."

I love Willow's suggestion - move your bloomin' arse!

I'm thinking the last suggestion you had was probably the best. Although some of the less savory ones are pretty darn funny!

I have never heard of ringing a bell for conferences! Let us know what you come up with.

We had a similar activity, and the secretary would give a '2 minute warning' where we were to wrap up the current conference. Then after the 2 minute[maybe 1 minute in your case of 15 min conf]
'Please move to your next scheduled conf.'or...
over and out...10-4!

I'm sure they won't notice what you're saying and just listen to the accent!
