Failure to restore

Well it was a no go on the restoring of any of my files from the backup. It obviously has not worked properly, as although they appear to be there, they have no content!

So all is lost and it's an awful lot to try to contemplate and remember to even start rebuilding. Plus I have lost more than 500 photographs that cannot be replaced - very frustrating and upsetting.

I just bought an 8GB flash drive from Amazon, it might be after the horse has bolted, but I'm not getting caught out again.

Girl. No words for this tragedy:( Have you uploaded photos anywhere else, like Flickr or Yahoo or Picasa Albums for your photos? If not, I will recommend it now because it will be a resource to go to for retrieving those photos. Such a shame. Like losing your photo albums in a fire. :( me sad for you

Pam I do have some on Snapfish actually, just realised awhile ago but the majority are gone. I am very upset about it. Plus all my BP records etc for my Graves have gone, although the Dr has copies.

I would be grateful if you could let me have some of your piccies from when we have got together when you ahve time.

Oh Sarah, it is the photos, the memories, that are the biggest loss. I know documents can be important, but the memories cannot be recreated. Does your Mum have copies of any of your pics? I know I send loads to my Mum and friends. All the best with getting your computer life back on track.

I am so, so sorry. Especially for the photographs. I will think a good thought for you, but I know this has been one frustrating week.

I don't know what to say. I know you're gutted, and I would be as well.

Sarah I'm so sorry about your photos, that would be what would upset me most. In fact I have some photos I'm waiting to burn onto disc on my laptop and as soon as I'm home this evening I'm going to make sure I do it.

My photos I could live without, but if I lost all my writing I'd be heartbroken. Same thing, just a different priority. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Oh, Sarah. That's the worst, and I am so sorry. I lost quite a number when my camera got condensation in it. Six months of my son's life when he was one. I still cry over it, so I know how hard this is for you.
