Saturday night outdoors around a fire with friends and neighbours
Enjoying the countryside and a view of a lovely old barn
The Hubster cooking our Hot Dogs in the fire
With an audience of Jerseys, wild Deer and an Armadillo
Friends toasting Marshmallows whilst exchanging news
And a beautiful sunset as we drive home
Life just doesn't get much better than this

Girl, you are right, that is the life. Looks like a fabulous evening! Anyway, the place you mentioned to me -- I think you mean the one where my now son-in-law worked ... he doesn't work for them any more. He is doing something else oilfield related now. But my friend's husband works there still, I think! Hope all is well with you guys, that fire looks fabulous. Pass me a burnt hotdog, willya?
This looks rather idyllic. You are one lucky Brit. The hot dogs over the fire caught my eye, too. What fun!
WOW looks like you had a wonderful time!
And can I just tell you that the word I have for word verification is 'Pissit' LMAO I've been getting some funny ones lately! xx
Looks like you all had a good time. Sunset pic is beautiful!

Having grown up in a semi-city atmosphere[NJ], and moving to the Finger Lakes Region of Central NY, I have to say that life in the slow lane has its beauty.
Yee-haw! Great!
We're going next door later on to carve the world's biggest pumkin with the kids. Fun too!
Looks like you did have a nice evening and you are right, life doesn't get better than that!
And the land you "belong to is grand"!! :)
Wow! This post leaves me speechless! Beautiful!
Hot dogs and marshmallows taste the best cooked over the open fire!
Okay, that is a Friday night here, minus the cows, the cute barn and the trees ... it's more of a firepit in the middle of a cul-de-sac :)
This looks like a wonderful evening!!! I do desire a slower pace in life and more time outdoors. You have it good!
Fab. I went to a beach BBQ in the summer, try doing that in Norfolk as the wind drives into your face !
