My 12 loves of Christmas - #2

#2 Christmas Music

I love pretty much all the music associated with Christmas. I have a Christmas Playlist on my iPod that I play most days at work in December. It ranges from the classics like Bing Crosby and White Christmas, to Josh Grobin and Silent Night, through to The Pogues and Fairytale of New York.

My own personal Christmas Top 3 tracks reflects my age greatly, and shows I was at my partying peak in the 80's!

#3 The Pogues - Fairytale of New York
#2 Wham - Last Christmas
#1 BandAid - Do they know it's Christmas

Over the years I have sung myself hoarse to all these tracks at a variety of Christmas parties, they are all hugely popular in England at this time of year.

I love this song. Look at how young they all look!! And that's quite the hair-do Sting is sporting, lol.

We love Last Christmas especially. And I love your meme below. May have to use it next week sometime!!! Gearing up for the C-day?

I get a new Christmas CD each year, sometimes more depends what comes out each year. I am partial to Brian Setzer, Harry Connick Jr, Elvis Presley, James Taylor.

I'd never heard that song before, but it's great!

Good choices, Band Aid is one of my faves too.

This was fun to listen to, Sarah. It's put me in the mood to get some shopping done and to work on our charity contribution list.

Check out "Straight No Chaser" on you tube or itunes. They are an awesome group with a hilarious twist on "12 Days of Christmas".

Funny thing is I only discovered Wham's "Last Christmas" last year!! I'm not quite sure how i missed it but now it is in my top 3 all time xmas songs, along with McCartney's. Love it.
