My new BFF!

Despite barely leaving the confines of our personal compound since Christmas Eve, I seem to have contracted some kind of stomach upset! At the moment it's the nether end suffering, but judging by my headache, queasiness and general malaise the upper end may join the party soon!

The Hubster is suspecting the culprits are the roast parsnips we have been ingesting. But with my touchy stomach anything's possible, and I have been over doing the sugar, a known aggravator for yours truly. So as of now I am self-imposing a 24-hour fast, the only successful way I have ever found to kick this kind of trouble. It's at times like this when I truly appreciate the benefits of Charmin wet wipes!

Guilty party?

Sorry you aren't feeling well. LaLa has been sick for the past couple days with a fever, no other complaints just a fever. Hope you feel better soon. Try a dose of Pepto. I know it is gross, but it usually works to at least slow down the trips to the WC.

Kat - I held my nose and downed the Pepto earlier, I keep that stuff anywhere I go regularly!

Hope you feel better soon, Sarah. Those stomach viruses are yuky... Can't believe the culprit would be that wonderful plate of food. Oh Well!!! Take care and get well SOON.

We're headed to Hendersonville, TN to check on George's elderly parents today. Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy

Does not sound nice - hope you are well soon.

I think there are many of the 'bunkers' throughout the country.

Dont blame the parsnips. No, its not their fault, there's some very horrific bug going 'round that makes BOTH ends run and head ache AND nausea ...

I don't think they are the culprits. I'm suffering today too ... queasy queasy. I thought I had worried myself sick, but maybe there is something going around...

Sorry you are under the weather Sarah. I'm not feeling so well myself. I've got a viral infection in my throat the doctor says. What fun we are!

Hope you are feeling better now.

All the Christmas goodies taste wonderful while we're eating, but often make us more prone to stomach upsets.

Feel better, Sarah.

LOL, Rob!

Thank you for the good wishes everyone. I have now eaten and am waiting to see if there is any reaction, but I do feel better.

Oh dear! I'm so sorry, Sarah. You have a very lovely toilet, though. If you have to sit, it's a nice place to sit. Feel better soon, please.

Ugh. Well, there you go--another reason I will avoid parsnips--one thing I definitely don't miss from the old country!
