2008 was the year of reading books in a series for me, I've always tended to stick with authors I love, but not really done books that follow on. Well now I'm hooked and as a result my bookshelves will no doubt continue to fill!

If I had to pick my favourite read of the year I think it would be Angels & Demons by Dan Brown, a thrill ride from start to finish. Closely followed by the Ashley Stockingdale books I have just finished.

28 books in 12 months, not bad going considering I also almost got 800 blog posts done in 11 months. And now I have resolved to write too, something's gotta give!

Hey Sarah! I agree about Angels and Demons and can't wait for that movie to come out. Plus it is set in Rome ***sigh****. I see a couple more on your list that I have read. I should compile a list for a posting too. Always appreciate the recommendations. Happy 2009!

How do you find the time ;) I have to stick to magazine articles because they are usually short.
Have a beautiful day.

The only ones we have in common are the Dan Brown books - but they are crackers!
Have you tried Robert Goddard? I can recommend him, although his earlier books were better than some of his recent ones.

Very good. We don't have any overlap for 2008. I did read Grisham's Skipping Christmas a couple years ago or so.
I only read about half as many books. You are right something has to give.

Good morning. I love listing the books I have read for the year. I loved Angels & Demons too. I read a lot more in the summer as I love to read on my screened porch at the cabin or n my hammock. Just love to read.

Good for you Sarah... I will admit that I haven't read nearly that many. Have you ever read any of Adriana Trigiani's books??? She's from my hometown of Big Stone Gap, VA --and has written several great books. Check them out sometime.
Hugs,
Betsy

My gosh, you've got me so beat. That's as much as I get through in several years. you must be a fast reader too.

You read the entire Jan Karon series too, it looks like. Impressive.

Great book list. I'll have to write some of these authors down.

I read nearly all the Sophie Kinsella, all of the Jennifer Weiner, some of the Madelein Wickham and have nearly finished the Lauren Weisberger books too. Obviously I'm a chicklit kinda gal.
