My 'frozen' World

Today my world is a frozen Okieland tundra!

The tree's have been iced

The grass has been frosted

The hammock yearns for summer warmth

All 77 counties in the State declared in a 'state of emergency'

450 wrecks/accidents dealt with by the Highway Patrol

But you can't help but admire nature's frozen beauty

It's best done through the window though, from a warm bed!

And I'll be doing the same today, as school is out for a snow day.

To join in the fun go to My World Tuesday

Since I'm not dealing with it, I can say it is absolutely beautiful. I grew up with ice storms. The kind that knocked the power out for 2 weeks. It still does there. Hated them. But OH how pretty it makes things!

Oh I hate ice. I just hope we don't lose power.

Great pictures.

Hi Bon Bon! Yes, thru the window is correct. Don't go outside or you will slip-and-slide! Brave mum for venturing out but came back in with wonderful photos :)

and a very red frozen face to go with them Pam.

Yay just heard we have no school tomorrow - yippee!

Sarah: Nice captures of your icy world.

Awe Sarah---Hope you don't have to go out tomorrow.. Ice is terrible.. I'll agree that it's pretty--in pictures. BUT--I wouldn't want to drive in it. We think we're going to miss this latest big storm. We may get some rain but that's it --at least until Wed.

Love the kitty!!!! The ice storm is not bothering him/her in the least is it??? ha

Hugs,
Betsy

Stunning pictures! Is it normal for Oklahoma to be so cold? Enjoy the ice from a warm, toasty inside!

You got some beautiful pictures of your frozen world. Just be careful if you go out on icy roads.

No fair! I do the snow and ice pics. Just kidding. Glad to share a bit of winter wonderland with you. Take care in this weather. Best to follow Bon-Bon's example!

Ah, a three mug day. Looks like a perfect day to stay in a warm bed. Yet I can't quite believe you took these excellent captures thru a window. (Oh I see you had to go out and get cold and red. LOL) Sorry your world is so frozen. I saw some snow flurries today, but it didn't stick.

It is really beautiful to look at from the inside of a warm house with a cup of hot 'tea'[in your case]. Stay warm.

Now that's what I call soft southerners! We've been living in it for months. Mind you, we don't half complain about the heat in the summer!

I'm with the kitty. Good day to stay in and watch through the window. Ice is beautiful... from a distance. Hope things warm up a bit soon.

I won't even let my kiddos look out the windows for fear that they might want to go out in all that stuff.

Spring can't get here soon enough : )

Hi Sarah just strolled on here from Dylan's blog so got a LOT of catching up to do. Love it so far.

I enjoyed my drive through Oklahoma when I was touring the states years ago but right now (with the temp at 81F) I'm glad I picked Florida for the winter months !

I loved your pictures. I hate this ice we have though. I was out driving in it at 6AM. It wasn't too bad at that time, but it's worse now. Stay warm!

Ooh we are were supposed to be on the "south" end of that weather system, and luckily we had mostly rain, but right to the North of us (next county), they had the freezing rain.
Tomorrow maybe snow ?
I am thinking maybe Lancashire Hotpot days...lol
Stay warm, and off the roads !

The cat has the right idea for a day like that! You captured the cold well in your photos. Unfortunately the same storm is heading our way after putting the freeze on a bunch of states in the midwest.

Those are some fantastic photos. We got a little bit of ice down here in Florida, but not too much -- in fact, it all melted by 9 am!

Thanks for stopping by my blog by the way!
