Sunday Book Review

I have just finished reading Kristin Billerbeck's fun 'Spa Girls' series of three books; She's All That, A Girl's Bestfriend and Cool, Calm & Adjusted. These are 'christian chick-lit' and very much a light hearted and amusing read.

Amazon says: This trilogy features struggling fashion designer Lilly Jacobs and her two best friends, Morgan and Poppy. The trio met at Stanford, and they couldn't be more different: Morgan's the down-to-earth daughter of a wealthy diamond dealer, while Poppy is a tie-dye-sporting chiropractor who's always prattling on about nutrition and energy. Now in their late 20s, the three are still best friends, and they make periodic trips to a spa when life gets too rough.

Each girl gets her own book, following her search for fulfillment in life and love. Don't be put off by the 'christian' tag attached to these books, I have read tons of chick-lit' including the 'Shopaholic' series, and these books are right up there with the best and most entertaining. Having read two of Kristin's series, I highly recommend her writing and I will be reading more of her books soon.

I just finished a Grisham book last night, and felt like some chick-lit, so I just started "She's All That" this afternoon! It's a great day for reading outside here, 73 and partly cloudy. I have all 3 of the Spa Girls books, so I'll probably read them fairly quickly. I've also read the Ashley books... you mentioned two other series and I'm trying to figure out the other one! :)

Happy Reading!

Yeah, I'm on it, Sarah, i really am. Nooo but, funnily enough, i love the designs and drawings on these sort of "chick flip" books.
