This is one of my all time favourite songs, love the lyrics, the emotion and the melody - it's just a classic. It's also by Robbie Williams, a big weakness of mine for almost 20 years, I just love him to bits. He epitomises the British 'cheeky chappie' and wears his huge vulnerabilities for all to see. It's America's loss that he has never made it here, despite selling 55 million albums worldwide! Rock on Robbie.

I haven't heard this song before, but I do know Robbie! Yummo!
I have to say a big THANK YOU. I Love Robbie Williams (I'm partial to the Robbie part - someone "very" close to me has that name;)) plus I love his music, have his albums and he is so SEXY! Thank you...yum yum yum...love the baby blues...oh I could go on...
Yum seems to be favoured word to describe Mr Williams I see! LOL
I like Robbie Williams just for the fact that he did an absolute killer cover of XTC's "Making Plans For Nigel" which along with being one of my favorite XTC songs, is one of my favorite covers (Robbie's version), oddly enough, one of my other favorite covers is XTC covering Captain Beefheart's "Ella Guru" which I named my first fanzine after... and was thrilled years later to find that XTC did a faithful cover of (B-side to "Mayor of Simpleton" 12" single)
Oh Niki I was a HUGE XTC fan too and I love 'Making plans for Nigel' too...thanks for the reminder!
I never understood why he didn't make it over here. This is so good that I have played it 3 times in a row. Must ... go... buy... album.... We got him on Millennium, which was good. I remember I came back from UK once when Kymmie was in Jr High and brought her a Take That postcard and song (you know their big one, can't remember the name now)... anyway, no one here had heard of them and she lost interest soon thereafter. But the boys were cute.
Sooo dreamy!
I love that song! I have no idea why I had his greatest hits album when I lived in the states... I also loved his album of big band/swing covers.
Prepare to be jealous- Robbie lives 5 miles away from me in the next village now - who knows , I might even see him in one of the local pubs ?!!!!
Actually, I never liked him when he was in Take That. But he has certainly flowered ever since he went solo.
This is a great song.
Thanks for reminding me that I haven't listened to my Robbie Williams CDs in some time. I feel a marathon coming on.
Oh I have some of his music in my iTunes library ...
Oh, I love this song. I'm one of those Americans who hadn't heard of Robbie before, but to echo previous sentiments - yum. I'll have to look for his music. Beautiful video as well. Gotta love cowboys.
Ooh, bad boy our Robbie, but you gotta love 'im!
I never understood why he never made it in the States either, I guess some people don't know good music! I love his music & this video is one of my favourites (and it's filmed in Alberta, Canada!) Plus he's not bad to look at! :)
I wonder why Robbie never made it over here-what a yum!! I love that video!
Wow. Robbie Williams! that brings back memories. Yeah, great song. Man! Don't you miss london adn wish you were in its snow now?!! I know i do. Funny things is i've never done the Milleniumdome ride, can you believe it?
As for America's looss--I say that with The Jam, songs like "that's Entertainment", "Start!", Absolute beginners, etc" let alone the Style council. Oh well.
