Sarah, I'm sorry there are such ridiculous people in the world as ED! Really get a life!

Saw this on twitter.

RT @tbbycatt Need a program to ban spam commenters? http://bit.ly/3checu

Don't know if it works, haven't had a reason to check it out.

Grr...I'm getting quite tired of "Ed" too! Why does Blogger allow this? It's obvious this person is no blogger and is abusing the comment facility to spam.

It's so sad that one individual can ruin a person's blogging life. I just don't understand what these spammers and hackers get out of such evil behavior.

Same on my blog .. I posted a similar post .. GMTA!

Ed found me a few days ago....probably from you. Hehe.
But one comment on loads of posts isn't hard to ignore as long as no one clicks on it.

Are you getting multiple comments on the SAME post or something ?

Got you twice? I was "got" this morning early, but all on separate posts. I deleted the most recent and haven't bothered with the rest. Dweeb.

So sorry for you. So been there.

I tried to ignore him. Doesn't he realise that not many of us can read it anyway?

Silverback said...

They not meant to be read, Expat Mum. When you move the mouse over any part of the comment, you see it would take you to a different sex site with presumably a load of trojans or a virus.

Do not click on any of it and just ignore or delete the comment. Mine were added to very old posts so I've just left them there.

Ian, the reason I deleted mine is two-fold. I don't want them sitting on 68+ of my posts and a tech guy I know said to remove them as they can be tracked back by the sender and as you said, pose a virus threat.

I've had a bit of Ed. But as the message is gobbledegook what's the point of it ?

I've never had ED but I have had an anonymous that keeps commenting negatively, hey ... a constructive negative comment, fine. This anonymous guy though, is just filthy!

I'm very glad that my blog is not popular enough for Ed to have found me!

argh! I just got Ed-ed too. V upsetting. Will no one rid us of this troublesome spammer? Good luck, Sarah!

i had 32 comments a few days ago and was just about to take off my comment moderation when I just read your "Ed" post, so I'll keep it on for a while longer. "Ed" needs to get a life!!!

My problem is I don't know where all those Ed things are. Dogone it! I wasn't smart. I killed all the Ed things from my e-mail address so now I don't know where they all are in my blog. I tried to find as many as I could but I had to look at each post. Really frustrating. I've added the word verification, too.

Glad i have not run into Ed.

Funny--the spam word is "messes" today! How apripos.
