I don't like it but...

there just doesn't seem a better way to let people stay up to date with my blog available right now, as most don't use RSS readers.

So after a few nice email requests, I have added 'followers' back onto my blog. But it's outta here the moment something better comes along, or an option without the numbers factor!

It's so convenient, though. I follow way more blogs than fit on my sidebar. Most are on my dashboard, and it is so easy to just click "follow this blog", that I find that I don't follow the ones that don't have it.

I agree it is and at the end of the day I appreciate it's easier for people, so I caved!

These are really stunning photos. That pizza made me hungry, even at 5:50 am! The museum is really impressive. "Sue" made me think of the Night at the Museum movies.

The night shots were really intriguing to me, too.

I considered getting rid of it too Sarah, but like you I couldn't find an alternative way that was as user friendly. Besides, I like seeing their faces.

Actually for blogger, you don't need the actual follow button on your sidebar. It comes up on the blogger toolbar at the top of every page that allows you to get to your dashboard and whatnot. Or you can simply copy the sites url into your blogroll manager. But the button on top is easiest.
