Brit Word of the Day

Todays BWOTD is another used daily:

"I had to chivvy them up"

'Chivvy' = Hurry along or to harrass someone

It depends on the context you say it in, as to which meaning it takes on, but it's more commonly used for hurry along.

I am chivving right now but I had to say good morning before I did

Well, that's a new one on me. I'll have to figure out how to use it in a sentence. ;-)

One word the manxies here just wouldn't get. They don't hurry ever. You do make me recall loads of words that I've forgotten
