6 year old wisdom

Each day the 6 year old son of my boss comes to the office after school and we discuss 'Storm Chasers'.

In fact 'Storm Chasers' has become our own little shared joke, he loves nothing better than to amaze me with his endless knowledge of the show. And I love to pose challenging questions to test his knowledge, which he gleefully answers or neatly sidesteps with a giggle.

But yesterday we were discussing his new toy shovel, rake and hoe set. I said he would need to use them in the garden to help his mom and he replied "but tonight we need to furgalize"!

I said "furgalize"?

"Yes we need to furgalize"

It took a moment, but then I realised..."Fertilize, not furgalize"! which of course brought on a big shared fit of giggles.

His mom later told me another classic. The other day they were discussing his little sisters Barbie car, which is hard to control. He said that it was because it has no "contraction". What he actually mean't is it has no "traction". It's never a dull chat with a 6 year old.

Glad you are feeling better.
My little guy (also 6) currently has the first of what I'm sure will be several blocked noses. I am "Bobby" instead of "Mommy" which we both find hilarious.

I love the things kids say. Ned says cool things too. Sometimes they are rude, like "I like your fat boobs" but most times they are cute!

Yep, Lady K is 6 and she is a total hoot. Your buddy is a charmer.

He sounds like a little cutie pie. You should just take him home with you one day. I'm sure no one will miss him.

So cute, he sounds like a "trooper".
I remember one Halloween the trick or treaters' were at the front door. One teenager was dressed as Harry Potter, my nephew, who was handing out the candy, said "Are you Harry Potty?".....
We have never let him forget it ;)

I love the funny things kids say... I help in my friend's kindergarten class every Tuesday morning. One of my favorites was this pronouncement by a 5-year-old around Christmas time: "Santa Claus comes from Jupiter."

This reminds me so much of the good ol' days of teaching 1st grade.
