Hanging in there with drugs!
Just made it home from the dental adventure and am doing okay so far. Minus a front tooth for a few months, but have an acceptable replacement for now so I don't scare the kiddies!I took advantage of the nitrous oxide (laughing gas) on offer, and although I wasn't laughing, it definitely took the edge off it all. Am keeping an ice-pack close at hand and am currently feeling 'FINE' on a healthy dose of Codeine. There isn't much swelling, but I can definitely tell the Codeine is needed and will be for a few hours.Off to bed for awhile, thanks for all the good wishes.*Saturday Update* - I'm sore, swollen gum and need ice & meds.

Glad all went well ! You could of asked for a black temporary cap, fitting for Witch's Brew at Halloween...
Take good care, enjoy the sleep.
Be well and have a High time with your drugs.
Hang in there!
Oh poor you! Hope you are feeling better soon :)
Hope you are feeling more comfortable very soon! I am right there with you, for my 50th birthday last week I had a root canal! Whoo hoo! NOT my plan but there you go!
3 more appts and the crown will be in place.
Try what I do, have many small bites of very delicious food. It seems to help!
Hope you feel better soon.
I'm glad it's over, Sarah. I've never had laughing gas... or maybe I just don't remember from my childhood. Have a nice rest.
I feel your pain. Been there, done that!
Hope you are healing well. You must be someone who was doomed to have a rough go with teeth--my sister is one of those people too.
You poor girl! I hope you get over the achy part soon...glad that it all turned out good enough not to scar the kiddies, but you do know Halloween is on the horizon?
Sandi
So did you buy a box of chiclets to keep replacing that front tooth and keep your breath minty fresh?
Drinks lots of water .. codiene has a nasty tummy side effect ... I find emperium (sp?)w/codeine is less harsh .. hope you are back to all better soon
I love codeine. It would be my drug of choice for sure. Blissful sleep with it. I'll be interested to hear how this goes, my sis has had to do the same, only she can't get the implant.
