What's your weekend plan?

The weather is going to be great tomorrow, reaching close to 60F, so we are headed out into SW Kansas for some photography and geocaching. We plan on ending up at the Dalton Gang Hideout and exploring there.

I am also hoping to see the new Meryl Streep comedy It's Complicated, which I have heard is very funny.

So what are your plans? Whatever they are, here's hoping you have a great weekend.

John is helping at the Food Pantry; I'm working on projects. No rest for the weary here. I'd love to do that exploring you are doing. Fun stuff. Does this mean Robber's Roost?

If you go and see it, I'd love to know how you like it because it sounds like a lot of fun. I just love Meryl Streep in whatever she does.

I've got a Cousins Party tomorrow. There's going to be a TON of food! It's the usual Hawaiian pot luck.

We are expecting several days of rain starting Mon. and Mike had to work today. So tomorrow we're planning a backroad drive to the mining town of Staton.

Have a great time and enjoy the flick.

Goodness! You and all your commenters have such energetic plans! I respect that!

I have been spending the weekend converting family VHS tapes to DVDs -- and what a long process that is! More than that, it is literally stepping into a time machine and traveling back 20 years!

Sure gives you pause for thought....

Take care and hope you have (had) a great weekend with your travels.

OMG, the Ball & Chain's great great uncle (Charlie Pierce) was a member of the Dalton gang and I think he was shot there. He was hiding out with some "friends" and they killed him and took the money. He was young when he died but we have a few photos. The family have only just started talking about it all. Such a disgrace to have an outlaw in the family. He is buried in the Outlaws graveyard (somewhere near the Cowboys Hall of Fame) and the gravestone reads "Charlie Pierce. Desperado".

Dalton Gang Hideout? I grew up hearing stories of the Dalton Gang - my grandfather swore when he was just a kid he use to hide under the porch of the general store and watch the gun fights - although I suspect he was just telling tales!
