Whiteout!

The view that greeted me this morning, we think we have about 8 inches but it's hard to tell, as we have drifts of 2 feet in many places around the house.

But we got away lightly, the Red Cross have moved into SW Okieland and there have been massive power outages across the state. All we have is minimal ice under the snow.

The second wave of snow is now starting across much of the state, with up to an inch an hour, but we only have a 50% chance of another inch.

The Hubster made it to work five minutes away, just for the morning. But Sukie is the only other member of the family wanting outside and she didn't last long!

Mr. Squirrel still made his daily feeder visit, which was alot pleasanter than yesterday, when he was being wind whipped by ice.

Although my seasonal front-door decor looks so much prettier with a little frosting!

It makes for pretty scenery up our street, although not much to see apart from Hubsters pick-up tracks.

Hubster will be home in a minute and then our plan is: hot tea, a good movie, homemade chocolate cake (for him), some Wii and reading a good book.

15 mins later...our 50% just went to 100% - it's snowing!

Woohoo! Isn't it exciting? I'm LOVING it! I've been taking photos all day and updating them to FaceCrack as the snow falls. What FUN!

Snowing down here all day. I bet we end up even on the snow scale. Your hubs braver than us today on the getting-out-of-the house.

It is beautiful isn't it, just as long as I don't have to venture out.

I love your front-door decor! :)

I'm not sure how much snow we got, I just know we got quite a bit! Snow drifts everywhere. But the pick-up truck plows through them quite nicely.
