My World - great memories

The Hancock Tower, so good we went up twice!

The view along the beach of Lake Michigan

Looking towards Navy Pier on a hazy day

The same view during the Wednesday night fireworks

Looking to the Willis Tower, we preferred the Hancock

At night, the bright lights of the windy city are stunning

This was My World in June last year, during our wonderful summer vacation to Chicago, a city we absolutely loved.

To see some great sights around the globe or join in the fun, go to My World Tuesday

What a great skyline! I'd love to see it for myself sometime - can't resist cities with waterfronts! Hope you have a good week.

Great shots of the city and the tower. Was Chicago as windy as people say it is?

Just Beautiful.

Stine, an Okie probably isn't the best opinion to get on how windy somewhere is lol! But yes it seemed to be on the shorefront.

Stunning is such a great word for those pictures and the skyline

I remember when you and Hubster took that trip. The Yogi's will be going also, maybe this year.

That last picture is wonderful.

I've only been in the airport there, but your photos make me want to visit Chicago some day. Great shots! Thanks for visiting my blog.

You have very pretty blue eyes! This is the first time I've seen this profile photo.

Chicago was actually nicknamed the WIndy City because of all the hot air the politicians spouted. Some things never change. And yes, it does get windy by the Lake!
Great to meet you and hubster last year Sarah. The Queenager still refers the event - I will never be allowed to forget that a "stanger I met on the Internet was coming to the house" and we were going out for dinner!

I love Chicago - such a fun place. You got some really shots here!

EPM LOL - please point out to the Queenager that could have worked both ways, more risky for us in fact, as outnumbered by y'all!

I was telling Mark the other day that we need to go check out Chicago, though I really don't know much about what to see there. It sounds like you guys had a good time. jan

My Teenager just went to Chicago for auditions and he LOVED it. He said he liked it even better than NYC which he totally loves so that's saying a lot. Your photos are beautiful!

Sarah: Beautiful views from way up high in the windy city.
BTW: I did think giving my British friends a beer was spot on.

Nice shots of Chicago. We have visited there a couple of times and enjoyed it. I'd love to go back, there is still a lot I have not seen.

Great pictures of Chicago, Sarah... I have been there a few times, when I was working on my Master's Degree at Garrett Evangelical Seminary in Evanston. I remember going downtown at least once--and we also went to a Cubs baseball game.

Hugs,
Betsy

What a coincidence: I literally just got back from a trip to Chicago! It's a wonderful town, isn't it?

I couldn't bring myself to go up either the Hancock or Sears Tower, though: I'm not the greatest fan of heights! :)
