Day 2 back in Blighty proved to me that British eccentricity is still alive and well, this was the Postman (Mail Carrier) in Yeovil today, he even obligingly posed for me. Mind you if you willingly leave the house dressed like this and wander down the High St (Main) for all to see, you're probably not shy!

Yeah but Yeovil - it never gets that cold there does it. Shorts weather all year round as far as us Geordies are concenred.
More Britishness? do you yanks know we give gifts to the public services who deliver to our homes? we give gifts to the bin men (who collect trash) the recycling me (who collect recyclable trash) the post men (mail carriers) the doctor's surgery and even the milk man and coal man, who deliver to our homes! our milkman opens our back door and puts the milk inside, so it doesn't freeze and no! we don't lock our house when we are in it!
Ha ha! yes we've got one of those too. They do seem to be a hardy breed don't they! and he's still smiling but he must have sooooooooo many letters and parcels to deliver. Glad you're having a good time. I'm very interested in how you are finding Blighty after being away for soooooooo long!
