So on day 2 we headed down typical English country 'lanes' (narrow roads)
until we got here
currently my idea of mecca, where I had a grocery shopping frenzy...
resulting in the purchase of these especially British delicacies - Walkers Cheese & Onion Crisps (Chips) and a few other fave flavours for good measure!
Expats all across the USA are now salivating!
I also managed to consume the following longed for Brit foods today:
Heinz Tomato Soup
Melton Mowbray Mini Pork Pie
Branston Pickle
Bacon & Cheese Quiche
Christmas Cake
Brandy Butter
Dandelion & Burdock soda
a little more Galaxy
"Read it and weep fellow expats" ;-)

You are cruel ;-)
Glad to hear you're having a good time!
Yum Yum ... there is a Ginger Beer that is very popular there now too ... look it up and indulge! The roads would have me a little scared though ... which Tesco's is it?
Read it and weep. Ha ha.
Actually I can't stand cheese n onion... but salt n vinegar? Yum. Yum.
We have a huge Tesco, a massive Asda and a great M&S near my mum and I swear I go into one of them almost every day.
Wish there were a British pub in Honolulu so I could try some of that food.
And how do you like your accent blending in with the accents all around you? LOL. No longer the odd ball, eh?
Bugger !
Do they still have the Walkers Bovril crisps ?.....ooooohhh.
Everything on your list, I would be indulging in too, and I could eat my weight in custard tarts, and Cornish Pasties :)
I'm smiling at your updates, and look forward to the next.
When do you break out the Harvey's Bristol Cream and Mince Pies ...lol
Hugs,
Jo

Sounds like you're eating your way through the UK.
It seems most things on the list can be found in Canada - though different brand names. However we do have a small shop a few blocks away that carries ONLY things from the Isles. Bramble House with all things British, Scottish, Wales and Ireland. There are a couple of things on your list I'm going to look up at Bramble House. ATB!
Sarah, I am so glad you are having such a grand time!! Enjoy all those wonderful foods while you can!!
Sounds interesting. I'm glad to hear that you are having so much fun with just the simple things. jan
I love traveling on the country lanes and shopping at Tesco. Enjoy your visit, and gobble up all the British food you can eat!
So glad you're having such a good (foodie) time!
Dandelion and burdock soda? Hmmmm... I don't know.
Cheese and onion! Steak and onion! Ooooo! Yum! We Americans are indeed deprived in some ways.
Another ex-Pat here. Why did Walkers always go with the blue packets for Cheese and Onion when it's so clearly meant to be green?
