My knee's protesteth!

My knee's are staging a serious protest at the sudden reintroduction of stairs in my life after 5 yrs absent!

At home almost everyone I know lives in a single storey house including us and most buildings are the same. In England it's the exact opposite situation and so my knees have been brought out of retirement and are none too happy let me tell you.

At first they just niggled, then they swelled a bit, now they just ache when in use and have stiffened up. Tonight I resorted to the Ibuprofen and it helped....but seriously, how pathetic lol!!

I guess I need to get in the habit of going up and down our storm cellar steps once a day when I get home just to keep them from eventually siezing up.  I reckon they'll settle down about a week from now as I head home to the 'flat' lands!

One of the several differences between the western part of Oklahoma and the eastern is that like you said almost everybody in western Oklahoma, and I include Oklahoma City in that lives in one storey homes. In the Tulsa area, it is hard to find a one storey home. They are all two storey.

We need to send you back home more often. You haven't blogged this much in months.

I can relate, after suffering with my knee problem these past two months.
Our home is a one story with a bonus room, and guess where my computer is, yep, in the bonus room, up the stairs.
Try icing it down and then heat, it seems to help, ooh, and rest, something you probably won't be doing for the next couple of weeks ;)
Sounds like you are having fun, despite the knee !

Forgive me for being a worrywart, but don't forget to take Ibuprofen with food. My brother-in-law had the worst ulcer from taking that medication without food. He thought it was just asprin that he had to worry about.

Yogi I had noticed that when over there, wierd! And you know it's having free time to do it.

Kay you're sweet and yes I am aware of that and always take it on a full stomach thanks.

Yep! I have the same problem when I come back to England. Funny isn't it. You wouldn't expect that to happen but it does and it's quite debilitating.

Oh knees, mine often bug me. We pushed to find a single story house and boy am I glad. Every house we've had (4 total) are one story, except the cabin but it works. Good luck.
