Celebratory SWF

'Celebratory Chicago Fireworks'

(taken from the Hancock Tower in 2009)

A double celebration here today.

Three years ago today I started my blog and I still find it just as rewarding as when I started it. It's a great creative outlet and I've made many friends all around the world, even getting to meet a few of them. It's become one of my favourite things to do and something I am proud to claim as all mine.

Ten years ago today, the Hubster and I sat down at the same Backgammon table online and played a game. We made a connection, that became a firendship, turned into love and years later became a new and very happy life together.

2001 was a year we will never forget, for both great personal happiness and worldwide horror and sadness.

Do you have a memorable year, and if so why?

this year started off with such bad stuff I am sure that it will go down as the most memorable .. and not in a good way ... but we've got 10 months to turn it around and we're going to make sure it does!

Congrats on your blogversary!

I've so enjoyed our visits back and forth throughout, this will make my second year blogging, and you, my dear friend, were the first to ever leave a comment...I was estatic, it was from reading your blog, that I was encouraged to jump in.
Hope hubster got his freezer sorted out, and the both of you continue in heavenly bliss for many more years.

Congrats on your 3-year blogaversary, Sarah! I started my blog 3 years ago, too. It was either March or April. It is a lot of fun. Congrats also on your happy marriage to your hubster. I love reading about happy marriages!

A memorable year for me was the 1968-69 school year when, at age 20, I left home in southern Californa (where I'd lived all of my life at that point in time) to spend 9 months in a suburb of Dublin, Ireland, living with a young family and attending Trinity College, Dublin. That year had more firsts in it for me than any other year of my life and I had so much fun and made so many memories!

Wow, I just noticed Hubster's comment about tomorrow being the 63rd anniversary of the Locker. Tomorrow is my 63rd birthday! (born, obviously on Feb. 11, 1948)

That's a neat coincidence Pat! Happy Birthday for tomorrow.

Happy 3rd Blogaversary, Sarah. My day is coming up in a couple of weeks. It will be three years for me, too. Isn't it amazing that we've done it this long? The best thing about bloggin has been meeting wonderful people like you and learning so much about other parts of our country and the world.

Aside from the important years of our wedding and births of our children, I think a stand out year for me would be the difficult year I started teaching again after being home for 10 years. It was such a year of adjustment, challenges and happiness that I'd begun a new, wonderful, rewarding chapter in my life.

Ummm... and by the way...
I'm really getting into my Kindle now after a bit of trepidation. Thanks so much for nudging me along.
