Ongoing problems

Well the compressor nightmare at the Hubsters work, that I wrote about previously here, continues on.

We are both at our wits end at this point and I am so worried about the strain this is putting on the Hubsters health. Plus I have to maintain a bright and sunny front at my work or they wonder what's up with me, and that's not helping either. And I think we both feel like we don't want to stress each other constantly talking about it, but we feel like there is nobody else who really understands how serious this is.

If he had another job ready to go to, I think he'd be closing the doors at this point and I wouldn't blame him at all. We don't have the power to solve the problem ourselves, we rely on others and they just aren't getting the urgency apparently.

We hope to hear a new compressor has been found and ordered today, but in the meantime my blogging maybe sparse, as my mind is elsewhere right now.

Oh Sarah, I was hoping the whole compressor problem had been resolved. I am so sorry. I know what it is like owning your own business-there really is no one to tell the problems to but each other! Prayers and HUGS for both of you!

I think prayer at this point is what you need so that's what I'll give you. I'm so sorry you're going through this situation. I did ask my other half, who is technically minded, but he didn't have a solution. Sometimes there really is no solution and you just have to start afresh at something new. I feel very inadequate, wanting to help, but having no way of doing so. I have been in similar positions myself so I know what it feels like and the worst of it, apart from the worry and uncertainty, is trying to appear normal when you're feeling anything but normal!
When I got back to U.K. last July I couldn't find a job. After three months I gave up looking. The job situation is dire and I am too old now really. BUT the government put back my retirement date one year and eight months so I still have to try for the next two years with really little hope of getting anything.
I did have my own business but the new rules from the government do not help small companies and so I decided to ditch that and work for someone else. etc etc etc
However!! looking on the bright side, when one door closes another opens, sometimes in a most unexpected way so don't lose heart, not yet...

What a nuisance for you. Really sorry to hear things aren't going the way they should right now. Hoping the compressor issues get sorted out really soon.

Sending positive thoughts your way and hoping the issues are resolved soon! How frustrating.

Here's hoping it gets sorted and SOON. You'd think that in today's business climate, even contractors would have a sense of urgency. If they don't have people calling them, they don't have work either. cheers to you and G.

That's too bad. I feel your pain, Sarah. Look into Russell, a refrigeration company. They fulfill David's warehouse refrigeration needs. Maybe, Russell can help your husband.

I'm so sorry. When the Hubster is upset, you can't help but be upset, too. I hope the compressor issues are resolved soon, for both your sakes.

We are all sorry and wish we could do something physical to make it all go away. Prayer does work and you should be getting plenty of that right now. My kindest regards to your hubby.

Hoping that a solution has been found and that it will work. Know how the worrying takes over at times like these. Just remember that the sun will come out again.

So much cause for worry - your livelihood, your husband's self esteem, your sense of security - all are threatened. I hope it gets worked out.

I had a very similar situation when I lived in England. The facts and figures were different but I too had to hang on for dear life. All I can tell you is that as hard as it seems, constant positive thought helps. You mustn't be overwhelmed by it, you mustn't ever give up and you need to keep your heads and keep working at it. There will be times when all seems lost but you will get through. I don't advocate prayer or positive energy, just grace under fire, which is how Hemingway defined courage.

Hi Sarah. Sorry to hear of the Hubster's stress, which of course becomes your stress too. We have similar nightmares from time to time in our own business, and I know the feeling all to well. Just sending you some positive vibes from over here..
