What's your scent?

Most of us will never meet, but whose to say we can't know each others scent?!

Although I have quite a few perfumes in my bathroom cabinet, there are two I tend to gravitate to most of the time for daytime and evening wear.

For daytime wear I have been a Chanel No. 5 girl all of my adult life. It was my paternal grandma who introduced me to it in my late teens and I have loved it's clean, slightly soapy smell ever since. I keep a spray in my bathroom cabinet and one in my desk drawer for touch-ups late in the day.

Since my late twenties I have loved Givenchy Organza for night time wear, I think the Hubster is also a fan of this as he will often comment on how good I smell when I have it on. It has always struck me as more suited to night time wear, as it's much more exotic and sultry smelling. I also happen to love the shape of the bottle.

My first reserves are: for daytime Very Valentino a delicious light citrusy scent, and for night time Calvin Klein Obsession a spicy opulent scent.

So if we were to bump into each other, what would your scent be?

Now Sarah I know this was directed at females and I don't have a handy picture but mine would be Stetson or second choice Old Spice. Have a super week.

I dont often wear scent but when I do I tend to favor Annick Goutal's Musc Nomade and occasionally I want something different so I dab on Armani's Sensi or maybe L'Artisan's Passage D'Enfer

Mine used to be Armani, but they discontinued it years ago. I still gravitate to perfumes like that, and the new one is lovely (and a forthcoming birthday present.) I must definitely have a smell because the kids will tell me if someone else smells like me. (I assume they're talking about perfume!)

I am using victoria's secret vanilla lace. That's my only scent. So affordable for me.

I haven't worn a scent other than my own for many years. Working outdoors they tend to draw insects. Yet when was much younger I wore Cody Musk for so many years everything I owned smelled of it.

Irish Spring soap. LOL.

Hypnose by Lancome. Lovely peppery smell. Also Allure by can't remember who, and Caline by can't remember who. Oh, and Antonia's Flowers - not a very well known one, but I stumbled across it years ago and like it.

There are not many perfumes I like on me, and usually end up with a man's aftershave - favourites are Givency, Prada and Calvin Klein's! Hubby and I often smell the same! LOL.

There seems to be a growing movement of scent-free zones, however.

I'm another Chanel fan. I've been wearing Coco Mademoiselle for years. I love the scent of Thierri Mugler's Angel but it smell right on me.
Found you on Daryl's sidebar.

I used to wear Obsessio, but for a long time now I have gone scentless, except for the lavender hand lotion I apply at bedtime.

I used to wear perfume when I was younger, but somewhere along the way they started making me wheeze, so now I don't use anything. (Unless you count the residual lavender smell from my shampoo.)

When I'm in America I love Amarige because I adore the smell of Mimosa. In England it's Chanel no. 5 or Eden. I also love Cerruti.
I can't wear perfume much in July or August because I get bitten to bu..ery by mosquitos!
What a great idea for a post. I'm going to try some of the aforementioned scents when I next go to Boots!

I have always loved Estee Lauder Youth Dew for day wear and Eternity, Calvin Klein for evenings. Have other favorites including Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey. Expat Mum, Armani is still available on www.perfume.com -- I recently received an order for Ralph Lauren Safari, which I love and which, for the last 10 years, I have been unable to find anywhere. And Odie -- what, you are not a Brut fan -- shame on you!!
Great Post, need to "expand my perfume horizons" and try some of the favorite fragrances named in the responses.

Ah scent. I read an article when I was too young to have much time (or money for such things) which said a woman should have a signature scent. At that age it was Charlie - I then graduated to Anais Anais (neither of which I like any more).

My fave is Havana pour Elle by Aramis (which they sadly stopped making) and I am making my last bottle last.

I also love my Jean Paul Gaultier (original not the light summer 'X').

I've quite a Dior thing going on too with Poison, Diorella and Diorissimo.

And wait! There's more... Eden and Clinique's Happy.

A scent for every mood so you'd never know I was coming!

Hey Sarah, I am with you on wearing Organza at night. I simply adore that fragrance and like you the bottle. I also like to wear Samsara which is also a beautiful night perfume. During the day I wear Champs Elysees by Guerlain - light and not too floral.

I'm also a Chanel girl, my Mum always has #5, I'm a Coco fan, I wear it every day, although I did have a love affair with Allure for a while there :)
