And something else about American loo's...

I can't believe I totally forgot this fact about American toilets, that I definitely don't feel the love for!

Whilst reading a fave blog last night, I managed to choke on my herbal tea when I came across this hysterically funny and accurate view of how us Brit's feel about the construction of your loo's.

As we say in Britain "Mind the Gap" and take a look here on Expatmum for one of our biggest paranoia's!

Hello, found your blog via Little Britain - loved your bio!! Maybe I should reconsider that online backgammon habit.....

Say what you like about US loos, as a fellow expat I'm completely won over by the false confidence those paper 'bum-protectors' provide that they only seem to have over here. I really miss them for some reason as soon as that plane touches down at Manchester Airport!

Yes but half the time they are already wet when they're on the seat and you have to decide how to get rid of them, etc etc. The only ones I half trust are the platic ones that whizz round - but how do we know that it's not just the same two going round and round? Eww!

First thing I thought about American loos is: 'Gosh, there's a LOT of water in there!'

That is hilarious and I totally agree with her deductions! LOL That two inch gap is a quite embarrassing feature of our US "restrooms".

i have been known to stuff the gap with toilet paper, and it also helps keep that door closed too, because we all know it swings open at the most inappropriate moments.
