Today's BWOTD is a commonly used phrase in London:
"Everything was just fine and then for some reason they had a bit of a ding-dong!"
'Ding-dong' = fight/argument
The Hubster has advised me here this means either an idiot or a man's private parts, or obviously a rather good Hostess snack!

Aren't the Hostess snacks called Ring Dings or something?
No Hubster insists they're Ding-Dongs and are round chocolate covered creme filled things!
Yes, Ding-Dongs are a Hostess snack. I wonder if it is an argument in UK speak based on the sound of the bell in boxing? There's several to describe it that we don't have -- argy bargy (a personal fave), throwing a paddy, and i'm sure quite a few others! but i hadn't heard ding-dong until today!
